The ingredients needed to make Palak paneer:
  1. Take 1 bunch Palak/spinach
  2. Prepare 100 gms paneer
  3. Make ready 2 onions, chopped
  4. Make ready 2 chopped tomato
  5. Get 2-3 chopped green chillies
  6. Prepare 1 tsp ginger paste/ grated
  7. Take As per taste Salt
  8. Make ready 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Prepare 1 tsp coriander powder
  11. Take 1 tsp cumin seeds
  12. Make ready 1 pinch asefetida
  13. Make ready 2 tsp oil/butter/ghee
  14. Take 1 tsp garam masala
  15. Make ready as required Cream for garnishing (optional)
Instructions to make Palak paneer:
  1. First of all nicely wash the spinach/Palak leaves and boil them in a pan with 1/4 glass of water.
  2. Once it is boiled let it cool and then blend it to a smooth paste.
  3. In a pan heat ghee/butter/oil add cumin seeds, asafoetida and ginger paste saute it for 5-7 seconds and add Chopped onion once they are transparent add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and saute it nicely till the oil is separated then add the Palak/spinach paste.
  4. Add half glass of water and let it boil for 4-5 minutes than add the paneer cut in cube shape.
  5. Boil it for more 3-4 minutes and add garam masala and mix softly than switch off the flame.Palak paneer is ready to serve garnish with cream(optional)
