The ingredients needed to make Moong dhal:
  1. Get 200 g moong dhal
  2. Get 1 cup chopped onions
  3. Make ready 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  4. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon chilli powder
  5. Make ready 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
  6. Take Salt (as required)
  7. Prepare 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  8. Make ready 1/2 tablespoon jeera
Instructions to make Moong dhal:
  1. Soak moong dhal for 10 minutes. Meantime take a pan or pressure cooker and add oil to heat. Add jeera then to sprinkle.
  2. Put the chopped onions and cook well till it's translucent. Then add chopped tomatoes
  3. Add chilli powder, tumeric powder, salt and mix well. Add the soaked moong dhal to it and cook for 5 min till it boils.
  4. Then close the pan or pressure cooker and cook for 10 min. (If in pressure cooker leave it for 3 whistles).
