  1. Take 100 gm Small grain white rice
  2. Take 50 gm Moong dal

  4. Take 1/2 tsp Ginger paste

  6. Prepare 1/2 chicken breast minced
  7. Prepare 5-6 French Beans chopped
  8. Get 1 Small carrot chopped

  11. Take 1-2 tbsp Ghee
  12. Take 1 tsp Ajwain/ Carom seeds
  13. Make ready 1 whole dry chilli
Steps to make Kholey Rice and dal porridge:
  1. Wash the rice and dal add in a pan/ kadai/ pot with all the ingredients along with enough water except the butter and tempering ingredients.you can add hot water in between as an when needed. Cook till rice and dal becomes mushy and veg and chicken gets cooked.
  2. Heat ghee and add whole dry chilli and ajwain and once it starts crackling put it the cooked kholey/ porridge.mix and serve hot.top it with a dollop of butter (optional). - (see recipe)
