Hello everybody, it’s me, Dave, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, mini gingerbread people. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I will make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Mini gingerbread people is one of the most popular of recent trending foods on earth. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Mini gingerbread people is something that I have loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few components. You can cook mini gingerbread people using 9 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Mini gingerbread people:
  1. Get 175 g dark muscovado sugar
  2. Get 85 g golden syrup
  3. Get 100 g salted butter
  4. Take 350 g plain flour (plus extra for dusting)
  5. Take 1 tsp bicarbonate soda
  6. Make ready 1 tbsp ground ginger
  7. Take 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  8. Take 1 egg
  9. Take Icing pens
Steps to make Mini gingerbread people:
  1. Put the sugar, syrup and butter in a pan. Melt over a medium heat and bubble for 2 min Minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
  2. Mix the flour, bicarbonate soda, ginger and cinnamon in a bowl. Add the cooled sugar mixture and the egg. Stir into the flour and form a dough. Knead for 2-3 minutes and then wrap in cling film and chill for 30 mins or more.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Roll out the dough to a 3mm thickness. Then use a cookie cutter to cut out your gingerbread. I decided to use a mini cutter (5cm x 4cm) to get bite size biscuits but you could use any shape or size. This picture below shows the scale.
  4. Line a large baking tray with baking paper and place your gingerbread people on it. The dough will expand when cooking so be sure to leave a good gap between each one. You’ll have to cook multiple batches.
  5. If making small people, bake in the oven for 5-6 minutes. For larger people, bake for 8-9 minutes. You want them to bake until golden. Be careful not to burn them - they can turn very quickly. - (see tip)
  6. Once cooked, remove from the tray from the oven and transfer the gingerbread to a cooling rack. Once cool, decorate and enjoy!
