  1. Soak all dal for 2 to 3 hours
  2. Grind pepper, cumin, fennel and dry chilli coarsely
  3. Grind soaked dal coarsely, add onion, ground powder, salt curry leaves, ginger and garlic
  4. Combine well, keep a deep pan, pour enough oil, take the dal mix little by little and make vada, fry until golden brown in medium flame
  5. Serve with ketchup
