The ingredients needed to make Dal Makhani:
  1. Take 1 cup black lentil(urad)
  2. Take 4-5 Puree of tomato
  3. Take 1/2 cup kidney beans(rajma)
  4. Make ready 4 grated garlic
  5. Get 2 finely chopped green chillies
  6. Get 1 inch grated ginger
  7. Get 1 big cardamom
  8. Get 30-40 gm butter
  9. Take 3 Tbsp red chilli powder
  10. Prepare 1 Tbsp cumin seeds
  11. Take 1 Tbsp ghee
  12. Take as per taste Salt
  13. Make ready as required Chopped coriander
Instructions to make Dal Makhani:
  1. Soak dal and rajma for at least 6 hours or overnight. Before cooking,wash it nicely.
  2. In a pressure cooker take washed dal and rajma along with some water, tomato puree,15 gm butter,salt,black cardmon and 2 Tbsp red chilli powder.Now add more water and cook it at low-medium flame for 10-12 min.
  3. Now mess the dal with messer.Heat some ghee and 20 gm butter in a pan,add jeera,green chillies,ginger & garlic.Saute it at low flame.Add some more red chilli powder and mix.Now pour the tadka into the dal.
