Steps to make Ugu soup:
Wash your ingredients ie pumpkin leaf, water leaf and bitter leaf with salt separately in order to kill bacteria. Wash your tomatoes,onions,pepper and blend them together.
Wash your meat and Pomo, add seasoning as we’ll as onion and garlic, pre- boil them for at least 20min or more defending on type used.
Add your blended ingredients with the boiled meat and Pomo. Add palm oil, stock fish, dried fish (make sure it’s wash with salt and warm water), cray fish, pinch of salt. Allow it boil for 15min.
Add melon, pumpkin leaf, water leaf and bitter leaf depending on choices. Add all the necessary seasoning/ ingredients. Sometimes fresh onions can also be add, it gives more aroma. Allow it to cook for another 20min…… It’s ready to serve 😋😋
