  1. First, heat a pan or wok. Add 2 tablespoons of the oil. When oil heats up, add mustard seeds and let them crackle. Then add cumin, methi, saunf, kalonji and hing. Let them crackle and sauté for 1 minute on low flame.

  6. Then add 1 pinch each of hing, chili powder, and turmeric powder to the oil. Let it cool. Then mix in with the pickle.
